Who is Alpha for?
 |
|
What's involved?
The Alpha course
begins with supper, followed by music, and then a talk. We then
divide into
smaller groups for dessert and to discuss any questions raised from the
talk.
What will it cost?
There is no
charge for the Alpha course, but we do accept contributions to help
cover the cost
of the meal.
When and where?
The Alpha
course usually runs once a week for 10 weeks. There is also one
weekend getaway.

Reverend
Nicky Gumbel was not always a minister, or even a Christian for that
matter.
He studied law at Cambridge and practiced law for six years. Following
his
conversion from atheism to Christianity, he studied theology at
Oxford, and is
now
an ordained Anglican minister at Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London.

Over 1,000,000 people have now attended an Alpha course in
North America alone. Here is what some church leaders have
said about the Alpha course. |
|
 |
|
"We stand alongside others who have a similar passion for
leading people into vital relationships with Jesus Christ. We
applaud the vision and work of Alpha Ministry to connect the
unconnected to the life of the local church and to a relationship
with Jesus Christ." |
Bill Hybels
Senior Pastor
Willow Creek Community Church
. |
|
 |
"Alpha is definitely a powerful tool for reaching the lost for
Christ and helping them mature in their faith"
Bill Bright
President
Campus Crusade for Christ
. |
|
 |
The Alpha course is a most engaging way of passing on
the basics of Christianity. It is a tool for evangelism and
nurture that I highly recommend.
